Ksenija Trajkovska focuses on emerging nuclear risk, radiological and nuclear disinformation, open-source intelligence and security challenges.
Ksenija Trajkovska is a Research Analyst at Open Nuclear Network (ONN), a programme of PAX sapiens. She previously worked as a Senior CBRN & OSINT Analyst at Fenix Insight, specialising in monitoring CBRN risk escalation pathways, tracking the use and proliferation of CBRN weapons, and analysing disinformation and information environments. Her work has included developing and applying AI-enabled systems for real-time monitoring, data analysis, and the identification and contextualisation of emerging security risks.
Ksenija has worked with government ministries of defence and international organisations on research and analysis related to security, non-proliferation, and CBRN threats. She has extensive experience combining OSINT methodologies with technology and data-driven approaches to build systems for monitoring complex and rapidly evolving risks.
She is currently completing a second master's degree in Nuclear Safeguards at Politecnico di Milano, with a focus on nuclear technologies and the fuel cycle, nuclear material accountancy, safeguards methodologies, verification and monitoring. She previously graduated from King’s College London with an MA in Science and International Security, where she focused on open-source intelligence and the science and technology of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons.
Ksenija was a Visiting Fellow at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS), where she conducted research on radiological incidents in Eastern Europe. Her research examined the frequency and nature of radiological incidents in Hungary, Ukraine, Moldova, and Poland, as well as differences in legislation and reporting practices, with a focus on strengthening approaches to border security, material security, illicit trafficking, and incident reporting.
She is an active member of the Younger Generation Leaders Network on Euro-Atlantic Security (YGLN) and contributes to Project Loop: Forecasting Nuclear Risk. Her professional interests lie at the intersection of technology, intelligence, nuclear and CBRN security, and emerging pathways of strategic risk.
Outside of her professional and academic work, Ksenija enjoys travelling and spending time at the gym.
