Linus Höller monitors nuclear escalation-related developments, especially between NATO and Russia, and on the Korean Peninsula.
Linus Höller is an Assistant Analyst at Open Nuclear Network (ONN), a programme of PAX sapiens, where he is a member of the Monitoring & Assessment team. His core areas of focus are the NATO-Russia relationship and the Korean Peninsula.
Prior to joining ONN, Linus held roles across both nonproliferation and journalism, including serving with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague, working as a researcher with the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies in Washington and California, and as a research assistant at the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation.
He has reported extensively as a journalist and correspondent for a variety of global publications, including most recently as Europe Correspondent and OSINT Investigator for Defense News. His work has also appeared in the Washington Post, ProPublica, AFP, UPI, ICIJ and others. He has contributed to award-winning investigations, including the Pandora Papers and the "Shadow Diplomats" series, which received the Overseas Press Club's Malcolm Forbes Award for best international business news reporting.
Linus Höller holds an MA in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and an MA in International Relations from MGIMO University, as well as a BSc in Journalism, Political Science and International Studies from Northwestern University.
In his spare time, Linus likes to travel, especially by train, and to play the piano. He is from Graz, Austria and speaks English, German, Spanish and Russian. He is based in Vienna.
