Olamide Samuel contributes to UN International Day for Disarmament and Non Proliferation Awareness Event
ONN joined the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs and the Permanent Mission of Kyrgyzstan in Vienna to mark the International Day for Disarmament and Non Proliferation Awareness, highlighting the role of education, public engagement and partnerships in advancing sustainable security.
Olamide Samuel at EUNPDC 2025
ONN's Network Specialist, Olamide Samuel, spoke about the challenges facing the Nuclear Nonproliferation treaty (NPT) at the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium Annual Conference. He offered a "global majority" perspective on the prospects for success at the upcoming NPT Review Conference, given the increasing salience of nuclear weapons in global politics.
Kseniia Pirnavskaia at Pugwash Conferences in Hiroshima
In Hiroshima, ONN’s Kseniia Pirnavskaia contributed to both the International Student/Young Pugwash Conference and the 63rd Pugwash Conference, presenting research on the Third Nuclear Age and non-traditional security, leading a 2026 nuclear forecasting exercise and serving as rapporteur in the disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control working group.
