Event Overview
As the international nuclear community continues to grapple with mounting nuclear risks, there is an urgent need to shift the conversation from reacting to crises toward shaping more positive outcomes. This interactive policy exercise brings together diplomats and analysts to think ahead — not about breakdowns, but about breakthroughs.
Through a combination of forecasting risks and backcasting desirable futures, the session will explore how cooperative action today can create meaningful and lasting impact before 2030. Participants will engage in a structured discussion designed to surface practical pathways for strengthening the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and advancing shared goals.
The exercise will be moderated by our Foresight and Prediction Specialists, Karim Kamel and Kristiana Nitisa, who will guide participants through the discussion and help translate insights into actionable takeaways.
Taking place on Madison Avenue, this breakout session offers a space to reflect, collaborate and take a well-earned break from the UN. Following the session, participants are invited to continue the conversation over a networking lunch.
