In 2026, the world will face a defining moment for nuclear governance. The Review Conferences of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), together with the expiration of the New START Treaty, create a rare convergence of milestones that will shape the future of global security.
Against this backdrop, the Open Nuclear Network, a PAX sapiens Programme, and the Vienna School of International Studies are convening a high-level dialogue to explore a crucial question: what can we still agree on? Bringing together senior policymakers, diplomats and experts, the discussion will focus on shared principles, emerging opportunities, and practical steps to strengthen global nuclear governance and sustain dialogue across divides.
