Tianran Xu in Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists: "Two Key Questions about North Korea's New Missile"

In an article for the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, ONN analyst Xu Tianran focuses on the two important questions regarding the new ICBM the DPRK displayed during its parade: its practicality (survivability) and its payload options.

Though the outside world cannot be sure about the survivability of such a large liquid-propellant missile, it represents an effort to deliver the heaviest possible payload while maintaining at least a certain degree of mobility. If realized, it could pose an unprecedented threat to the US homeland.
