On 12-14 June, at the 8th Forum Anthropocene, ONN’s Engagement & Network Coordinator Kseniia Pirnavskaia joined a thought-provoking panel on the intersection of climate change, security, nuclear risk and the transformative potential of AI - not as an existential threat, but as a potential existential solution. Kseniia shared insights into Open Nuclear Network’s work on non-traditional security threats, including our research at the nexus of climate and nuclear risk, ongoing AI-related work and how we’re integrating AI into our daily work to advance our mission of nuclear risk reduction. In her remarks, she drew a compelling connection between climate insecurity and nuclear threats - two of the most pressing existential challenges of our time.
A heartfelt thank you to our Advisory Council member Christine Muttonen for the kind invitation, great moderation of the panel and for championing this vital interdisciplinary dialogue.
