ONN Engagement and Network Coordinator, Kseniia Pirnavskaia, recently participated in the 63rd ISODARCO Summer Course.
This year’s course examined the expanding militarisation of advanced computing technologies and the profound risks this poses for peace, stability, and international governance. Discussions explored topics such as:
- AI decision-support systems for command and control
- Autonomous weapons and their precursors
- Nuclear command and control vulnerabilities in cyberspace
- Escalation risks from cyber hostilities and AI-driven warfare
- The challenge of maintaining human control in increasingly automated conflict environments
For ONN, this was an excellent opportunity to engage with leading experts and connect with colleagues from across the globe, while deepening knowledge on the critical intersections between AI, cybersecurity and nuclear weapons.
We thank ISODARCO and its distinguished lecturers for creating such a valuable platform for learning, exchange and dialogue.
