On March 13, ONN Research Coordinator Elin Bergner presented her book chapter at Sjöfartshuset, Stockholm, marking the finale of the ISDP Nordic-Korea Next Generation Policy Expert Programme. A heartfelt thank you to Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP), The Korea Foundation and her mentor Margareta Wahlstrom for making this such a remarkable experience.
Elin’s chapter explores the evolution of Nordic engagement with both North and South Korea, from the humanitarian support provided during the Korean War to the complex diplomatic and economic relationships that continue today. It highlights the long-standing role the Nordic countries, particularly Sweden, have played in facilitating dialogue and fostering peace on the Korean Peninsula.
