The Open Nuclear Network (ONN) is delighted to welcome Ms. Laura Rockwood and Ambassador Kent Härstedt to its Advisory Council.
The ONN Advisory Council consists of carefully selected, highly respected professionals with extensive experience in nuclear policy and conflict resolution. As trusted affiliates working closely with the ONN team, Council members are united by the mission of preventing nuclear conflict through de-escalation. When tensions are on the rise, they use their knowledge and connections to engage with key decision makers.
Ms. Rockwood retired as Director of ONN in July 2022 and has since served as a Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (VCDNP). She has over 35 years of experience in nuclear non-proliferation and safeguards.
Ambassador Härstedt had a distinguished career of more than 25 years with the Swedish government. He served as Sweden's Ambassador to Singapore, Special Envoy to the OSCE, and Special Envoy for the Korean Peninsula.
The ONN team looks forward to working with Ms. Rockwood and Ambassador Härstedt to achieve its mission of preventing nuclear conflict.
